Aditya Thyagarajan (Hollywood CC) has been selected to the USA National team for the tours of Dubai (ICC T20 World Cup Qualifiers) and Nepal (ICC World Cricket League Div 5).

The team departs to the UAE on Feb 1, 2010 from New York. World Twenty20 Qualifier begins in Dubai on February 9 through 11, with the Semi Finals and Finals on February 12 and 13 respectively. The USA squad will leave Dubai for Nepal on Valentine’s Day, February 14. The squad will have three days of practice, before participating in round-robin matches from February 20 through 27, with a rest day on February 25th. The squad will leave Nepal two days later for the journey back home, arriving in New York on March 1st.

Aditya has been playing for Hollywood CC since 2001 and has been the lone California (SCCA & NCCA) representative in the USA team for the last 3 years now. He had a great run during the victorious 2008 Americas Cup campaign. A match winning 84* against defending champions Canada being the highlight.

Aditya is the reigning MVP of SCCA Div 1 having led Hollywood CC to the championship with 627 runs, including a century, for an average of 90, 23 wickets and 10 catches.
