Citrus Valley remains UNDEFEATED after 4 games

Another hot and scorching day in Fontana. Both teams were ready to go on time however, there was NO UMPIRE at all. Both teams decided to go ahead and play anyway and do their own umpiring. Waleed was the pick of the batsmen who opened the batting and played some impressive strokes. He was run out at 45. After Waleed's run out Kunal and Salman kept the score board ticking and then Junaid came in and made quick 49 runs. Abdul Khaliq ended the inning with his addition of explosive 20 runs. Kunal and Abdul Khaliq were not out. Citrus put on 210 runs for 7. This was a difficult target for Inland Empire. Salman's pacy bowling from one end and Md Asaduzzam's quick bowling from the other end was little toooo much for Inland Empire. IE lost 2 quick wickets. However, supburb batting from Nadish Patel and Vipul got Citrus Valley on the back foot for a little while. Then Kunal' magic spell of spin bowling got rid of Nandish Patel. Once he was out, Citrus Valley bowler's did not give any breathing room to IE. Andy's bowling was very accurate. Salman took 4 wicket for 25, Andy 2 for 22, Kunal 1 for 20, Junaid 2 for 36. Citrus Valley's young players' fielding was excellent. IE was all out for 171 in 36.3 overs. Both teams played the game in the true spirit of the game, did their own umpiring and respected each other's decision. Good luck to IE for rest of the season.
