USCTCC register a huge win over Friends

USCTCC won the toss and elected to bat first on a flat-dry pitch at Wong. Tarun Tyagi (88) and Omer Khawaja (28) gave USC a flying start scoring 50 off 9 Overs before Omer got out trying to step up the run rate. Zaki Murtaza (42) joined Tarun Tyagi at the wicket and both were involved in a 110 run partnership. After Tarun and Zaki got out in quick succession , Superb cameos from Viral Somaiya(25) and Rishabh Mehra (27) saw USCTCC putting up a big total of 248 runs in 40 Overs. Friends started well scoring 32 off 6 overs before Kiran took 2 quick wickets to have them struggling at 65 for 2 off 14 overs. Excellent bowling by Viral Somaiya saw Friends leaking wickets at one end while Tarun Sandhu was holding up the run rate at other. In the end a total of 248 was too much for Friends' batting line which crumbled under pressure and they were all out for 137 in 29.2 Overs. Man of the Match : Tarun Tyagi 88 Runs and 2/13 off 3 overs. This was last game for Viral Somaiya from USCTCC who has been a pillar of strenght for USC team over the years. He was easily one of the best cricketers to have played for USC. Best wishes to him for future.
