Carson ground status

It is really unfortunate to inform that Grounds Committee has recommended that SCCA won’t be taking care of the Carson ground’s day to day maintenance starting Year 2012 season.   Grounds committee has come to this conclusion after spending many months trying to improve the playing conditions to no avail.   Since this is a multi-purpose field, there isn’t anything grounds committee can do to improve the conditions of the playing area.   We don’t see any value added in spending money on this ground, if we don’t have an opportunity to improve it.

We will make sure the Carson ground is taken care for this year’s games and will also ensure that next year’s ground permit is secured as well.   But starting next year, it will be Carson ground home team’s responsibility to make sure the ground is ready for their respective games.   Since it will become a private ground the SCCA dues will be reduced accordingly.
